GREG GUTFELD: Hunter Biden conviction gives Trump a ‘golden opportunity’ to condemn it (2024)

Before a jury could convict Hunter Biden in his gun trial, the defense found an unlikely ally: the Second Amendment, something Democrats hate even more than soap operas.

Last week, in a last-ditch effort, Hunter asked to have the charges dropped, arguing that the questionnaire he filled out violated his Second Amendment rights. Hunter’s lawyers argued that the question asking if he was a drug user was unconstitutional, and that the state had no right to violate his Second Amendment rights simply because he had taken a few drugs. And by a few drugs, we’re not talking about George Stephanopoulos; we’re talking about the amount of cocaine that would have even Scarface recommending rehab.

Still, the defense has a point. So why is it unconstitutional? Well, they argued that past intoxication statutes don’t apply enough to justify disarming a non-intoxicated citizen solely because of past drug use. And, sad as it is, that makes sense. Is it constitutional for the government to strip an individual of their Second Amendment rights based on an interpretation of a subjective standard? Intoxication is subjective.

Furthermore, you don’t lose your First Amendment rights for doing drugs, so why lose your Second Amendment rights? It’s a prerequisite right, and when it conflicts with a lower law, the higher law always takes precedence. Forget about hunters. The same law would bar injured veterans who use marijuana for pain from exercising their right to self-defense. Imagine a person in recovery owning a gun. Should that person go to prison? Never mind that this sentence will discourage them from getting treatment or seeking mental health help. I need it. Just reading this.

Now, did Hunter break the law? Sure, it’s an unjust law. So you can disagree with me, but really, you’re disagreeing with the Second Amendment. The Constitution cannot be violated. That’s it. But if that sounds familiar to you, you must be paying attention to our Kat Timpf. Flashback, flashback dude.

Hunter Biden trial juror says he doesn’t believe defense 7-Eleven story

KAT TIMPF, June 4: Alternatively, you could make the argument that this is not constitutional because the Second Amendment does not have an exception if it relies on something, which means you could make the argument that his Second Amendment rights are being violated. It would be interesting to see Joe Biden ask the court to make that argument.

Hmm. Kat’s next book. The rule is, only clap for me during the monologue. But Kat’s next book should be called “What I Tried to Keep Hunter Out of Jail.” But imagine what would happen if the son of a Democratic president suddenly started wearing an NRA hat. They say politics make strange bedfellows. Well, for the sake of the Second Amendment, I hope Hunter wore a condom. I don’t want the Second Amendment to have genital warts.

President Joe Biden embraces his son Hunter Biden as he arrives at the Delaware Air National Guard Base in New Castle, Delaware, on June 11, 2024, after the latter’s conviction on federal firearms charges.

So while the verdict may be bad news for Hunter, it’s also bad news for the Second Amendment. Hunter was found guilty of possessing a firearm as a drug user or addict, a vague category that many Americans fall into. But this gives Trump a golden opportunity to denounce it and put Democrats in a corner. If Trump calls it unconstitutional and Democrats agree, they’re suddenly on the side of the Second Amendment, but if they don’t, they’re forced to applaud the conviction of the president’s son. His father would be pleased.

So what about the Commander in the dirty briefs? He insisted he wouldn’t pardon Hunter, but he said Joe was less likely to remember that than Michael Loftus was in his underwear. I suppose this is just another headache for Joe, but that’s assuming he has feelings above his chest. Here’s a photo of Joe at last night’s Juneteenth event:

Joe is Joe or Joe statue. If he was frozen longer, Hamas protesters would have spray painted “Intifada” in his face. At this point, the best they can do is turn him off, wait five minutes, restart him, then call tech support. Want to hear something? Joe is at the gun summit today. At the gun control summit, he’s talking about you gun owners.

President Biden, June 11: And by the way, if they’re going to take on the government, if we break the rules, and we’re talking about that again, well, guess what, they need F-15s, they don’t need rifles.

What on earth did this guy say? Well I know what he said but it’s not about what you need. It’s your right to own a rifle but this is a guy who believed January 6th was an insurrection. Apparently he has an F-16 or an F-15 so we don’t have to worry. This guy is the worst. And that’s why Joe’s approval rating is dropping faster than Jerry Nadler’s boobs when he takes off his bra.

Even liberal election forecaster Nate Silver has suggested the unthinkable: Biden will pull out like he did in ’88, when Democrats chose the more marketable candidate, Michael Dukakis. “Biden is [new] His approval rating is at an all-time low (37.4%)… While withdrawing is a big risk, there are some thresholds below which staying in the race becomes a bigger risk… The Democratic Party would have been better off if Biden had decided a year ago not to seek a second term… and would have given voters a say among many popular Democrats across the country.” Yeah, what are many popular Democrats? I hope Nate doesn’t fill out his gun application anytime soon, because apparently he’s high too.

Who’s there? This guy? Oh, he looks like the tennis pro who infected the entire country club with chlamydia. This Laughing Monster? I’ve seen deeper fart cushions. This guy? As Secretary of Transportation, the only thing he transported were illegal immigrants on overnight flights. Speaking of shallow benches, they make “Fox & Friends” look like the Supreme Court. What is Joe thinking?

Tom Silue (Biden) No no no. Look, look, no no, nobody’s resigning. I’m not going anywhere. That’s not how you do it. You guys. You’re going to beat me, you’re going to have to run against me. Nobody wants to do it right. Who’s there? The guy from California with the hair and the teeth. Come on. He’s the only one who likes him. And Kathy, the vice presidential candidate, good luck. And the mayor guy, Judge Pete. He can’t be like me. Nobody respects him, and it’s not because he’s gay, it’s because he’s not a real judge.
