    First formed in 1974, The Stranglers no bullsh*t attitude was embraced by the punk movement of the late 70s. But their musicianship and menace transcended the genre, creating a sound unique to themselves. With their first three albums (Rattus Norvegicus, No More Heroes and Black and White) being released within an astonishing 13 months of each other, scoring hit singles with Peaches, No More Heroes and Walk On By. They will be performing at The Great Estate later this month.

    Also performing at The Great Estate festival is British rock band The Darkness. Landing in 2003 with a big bang that changed the genre forever, it’s been 20 years since Permission To Land debuted to almost overnight success. The album spawned a series of hit singles including I Believe In A Thing Called Love, Growing On Me, Get Your Hands Off My Woman and Love Is Only A Feeling.

In the mid-1980s, against the backdrop of the underground warehouse scene, Soul II Soul’s creative expression flourished. They will be performing on the green at The Great Estate next month.

Rick Smith and Karl Hyde, the innovative minds that gave us Underworld, have been bringing their trademark hypnotic sound to audiences across the globe for decades, and their 2024 tour promises to level up the live experience for their listeners to astronomical heights.

    The Australasian rock icons will be performing their decades-spanning hits at the Eden Sessions where they will be joined by Liam Finn. The band’s self-titled debut album was released in 1986 to huge acclaim, achieving platinum status in four countries. It included the massive hits Don’t Dream It’s Over and Something So Strong. The former became an international hit, reaching number one in New Zealand and Canada, and number two on the US Billboard Hot 100.

    With special guest DJ Charlie Boon kicking things off, world-renowned DJ Fatboy Slim will play the biomes at Eden. Norman Cook, better known as Fatboy Slim, has carved a lasting legacy throughout his multi-decade career. A product of the vibrant Brighton club scene, Cook has graced prestigious stages across the globe, including more than 17 consecutive years at Glastonbury, Coachella, Sziget Festival and the London 2012 Summer Olympics Closing Ceremony. His live shows are known for their high energy, unforgettable curation and synchronised visuals, with no sign of slowing down.

    Scottish sensation Paolo Nutini will bring chart-topping hits to the Eden Project on Wednesday, June 19. The Paisley-born musician, recently named a Modern Scottish Classic at the 2023 Scottish Album of the Year Awards, found fame in 2006 with the release of his first album, These Streets. The record entered the UK album charts at number three and delivered hits such as debut single Last Request and Jenny Don’t Be Hasty, going on to achieve a five-platinum status.

    Global rock icons Simple Minds will be bringing their world-class live show to Cornwall for the first time in 40 years. They will be performing at The Wyldes this summer.

    Two of the UK's most influential rock bands join forced to co-headline at the Eden Sessions on Saturday, June 29. Led by original frontman Brett Anderson, Suede have forged a monumental path in British music culture. With four UK number one albums and eight top ten hits, they are known for their compelling and provocative music, which has seen them play at multiple festivals around the world, including Coachella, Glastonbury, Reading and V Festival. Manic Street Preachers will be returning to the Sessions stage, having performed to a rapturous sell-out crowd in 2016.

    Off the back of a sell-out arena tour in 2023, Middlesbrough-born singer-songwriter James Arthur will be on the main stage at The Wyldes this summer. He has had multiple chart-topping hits, including two UK number ones with Impossible and Say You Won’t Let Go, and a number one album with his 2016 release Back from The Edge. His latest album, Bitter Sweet Love was released in January.

    American alternative heroes The National will make their Eden Sessions debut alongside special guests This is The Kit on Tuesday, July 2. The National formed in Brooklyn, New York City in 1999. The five-piece are comprised of vocalist Matt Berninger alongside two sets of brothers – twins Aaron and Bryce Dessner and Scott and Bryan Devendorf. The Eden Sessions announcement followed the release of Laugh Track, their surprise second album of 2023, in September. Laugh Track was received with critical acclaim and follows nine previous studio albums, beginning with their 2001 self-titled debut.

    Pop legend Rick Astley will play at the Eden Project on July 3 with special guests The Lightning Seeds. Rick Astley’s story is a remarkable career of two chapters. In 1987, he became an unlikely global phenomenon as his era-defining smash Never Gonna Give You Up established him as an international chart-topping, BRIT Award-winning global star. This status was heightened by further hits such as Together Forever and Whenever You Need Somebody. After stepping away from the spotlight, Rick’s second chapter started when he celebrated his half-century by returning to the top of the charts with 2016’s 50.

The Bedford-born singer’s prolific rise to fame over the last few years has seen him land two consecutive UK number one albums and five UK platinum singles, amassing over 1.3 billion streams and 9 million monthly listeners on Spotify. 2023 marked yet another pinnacle year for Tom, seeing him embark on his first UK headline arena tour and making his Glastonbury Festival debut on the Other Stage to enraptured fans the day after his third album, What Ifs & Maybes, went to number one in UK charts. To add to the accolades, Tom scooped up Best UK Act in the 2023 MTV Europe Music Awards.

  • JLS plus Tinchy Stryder (July 13)

    Multi-award winning boyband JLS will play at the Eden Sessions on Saturday, July 13 joined by Tinchy Stryder. In 2008 JLS came second on The X Factor, and remain the biggest self-founded group to ever emerge from the talent show. They have chalked up an impressive five UK number one singles, including the enduring dance floor filler Beat Again and the arms-aloft heart-tugging ballad Everybody In Love. They’ve sold more than six million records and more than 1.4 million live tickets. The JLS live experience is so in demand they have played London’s O2 Arena more than 20 times now.

  • IDLES (July 21)

In 2009, they unleashed their debut album, I Had The Blues But I Shook Them Loose, a raw outpouring of adolescent emotion. A year later, they flipped the script with Flaws, going acoustic and surprising everyone. By 2011, A Different Kind Of Fix took them two steps ahead sonically, painting their sound with vibrant colors. In 2014, So Long, See You Tomorrow became their greatest hits collection, showcasing their prime. But then, a five-year hiatus left fans hanging.

    Gearing up for another monumental chapter, British superstar Paloma Faith returns with the release of her brand new single and video How You Leave A Man. Paloma shared the news of her new album release date and inspiration with a personal note to her fans letting them know she was “…Looking forward to sharing this new era.” She too will be performing at Tunes in the Park at the Port Eliot Estate this summer.

  • Busted (August 25)

    Busted are an English pop punk band from Southend-on-Sea, Essex, consisting of James Bourne, Matt Willis and Charlie Simpson. Formed in 2000, the band had four UK number-one singles, won two Brit awards, released four studio albums and sold over five million records. The band released Busted in 2002 and A Present for Everyone in 2003 before disbanding in January 2005. Following the split, all three members pursued separate musical careers: Simpson as the frontman for the post-hardcore band Fightstar, Bourne as the lead singer of pop punk band Son of Dork and Willis as a solo artist. The band reunited in 2016 and have stayed together since. They will headline the final day of Tunes in the Park.
