Vacated Pima County constable seat will remain unfilled

In other action, the Board of Supervisors decided to not go through with any process to fill a county constable seat that was vacated earlier this month.

Former-Pima County Constable Oscar Vasquez was suspended earlier this year for the remainder of his term without pay, which was set to end in December 2025.

The Board had the option to go through a replacement process, but decided against that action on Tuesday, citing that no work would be coming out of the position anyways due to Vasquez's suspension.
