Micro deposits (usually only cents) appear in your account when a third party has been given your banking information for automatic deposits and withdrawals. Review your statements regularly. Report all activity that has not been authorized by you to your branch immediately. Do not disregard these types of transactions because they are “only change” or for minimal amounts. It’s suspicious and could be fraudulent. If ignored, transactions may follow.

Let's talk about calling a client who RECENTLY MADE A LARGE DEPOSIT.During a coaching session - the banker asked me for advice when making these calls.Then they shared with me a scenario in which they tried making an outbound call to a client who recently made a 75K deposit. They tried getting the client engaged in conversation over the phone and inviting them in to add a beneficiary to their account. It didn't go anywhere. What I shared with this banker is an approach to the call that has proven to work well when booking an appointment.
